First time two women together in space - "We're proud of you," Trump said

American astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meyer came together today from the International Space Station to make a repair, a landmark exit, as the first in 60 years of space history that two women have taken a walk in space.

The first exit of the two astronauts

A first outing for two astronauts, Christina Koch and Ann McClain, was scheduled for March, but NASA had to cancel it four days earlier because it did not have two mid-sized suits ready for use.
Today's exit officially began at 14.38 in Greece. The goal of the two astronauts was to replace a battery recharge unit that was damaged last weekend.

The long-awaited event for NASA was achieved during a relatively routine mission to replace damaged batteries.

Congratulations Trump

Koch and Meir, dressed in white uniforms and tied to the station, nearly 408km above Earth, began marching in space to carry out their mission, NASA announced and posted a live video of the operation.
President Trump today congratulated the two women on their shared "historic" exit into space. "You are very brave women, very intelligent," Trump said during a briefing with the press, who have been outside the International Space Station for hours. "We are very proud of you," he said.
